Artist research- Marianne Heske

Here I am looking at the concept of being trapped behind some metal mesh I found. I have layered this over a clip of a light I took exploring what it would look like with different transparencies. This clip it good because it has taught me some new techniques to work with. I think the was the images work together to create this mesh effect you fell very enclosed when watching it almost confused and trapped.

A short experimental film I made today, using the concept of being trapped behind something. In this case glass. I edited the speed of the piece to make the rhythms different to make it choppy in some parts and more fluid in others. The piece almost looks like it has been filmed under water which I like because it has inspired me to think about being trapped by water and that concept.
